We have been learning about homes and floor plans in geography this week. We worked in pairs designing a floor plan on paper and then created it using Lego. We had lots of fun.

We had great fun harvesting our potatoes. Our potatoes grew very well in the grow bags. We steamed the potatoes and served them with salt and butter and sprinkled some herbs from the garden. They were delicious.

We had a very exciting day on Friday. The children wore their Halloween costumes to school and also brought their pumpkin creations in for our annual competition. There was fantastic creativity. Well done to the prize-winners in each classroom. Thank you to our hard working Parents Association on organising this fun activity. Later in the day, we went to Kilglass for the Scary Wood Walk which was very spooky!

We were very creative in 3rd and 4th classes creating our digital Halloween pictures using google drawing.

Well done to our 3rd and 4th class boys who claimed a top 10 position in the team event of the Connaught Primary Schools Cross Country competition held in Mohill on Saturday. This is a fantastic achievement. Well done boys!

3rd and 4th class children used the Google Drawing Tool to create a Summer Sunset picture.  Using this tool encourages creativity as the children experimented with colours, shapes, and gradients to depict a sunset.

Well done to all the children that participated in the Sligo Primary Schools' Cross Country Competition held on Saturday at Rathcormac NS. Congratulations to our 3rd and 4th class boys who put in a great team performance and have qualified for the Connaught Championships. Everyone in our school is really proud of your efforts.

We had a great day at Castleconnor GAA club on Friday where our girls and boys teams participated in the Cumann na mBunscol mini 7s competition. Both teams played really well and did our school proud.

Rathlee NS looks forward to welcoming all the boys and girls, especially our new junior infants back to school next Monday for the start of a new school year!
