We planted hyacinth and tulip bulbs last week. We look forward to watching these grow over the coming months. We are observing a hyacinth bulb growing in a jar and are surprised at how quickly roots have appeared. Nature is amazing.

We were delighted to welcome back Taragh Cosgrave from Edible Landscapes. Our 3rd and 4th classes weeded around our existing herbs and apple tree. They also planted lemon balm, honey berry and strawberry plants. We can't wait to sample the fruits of our labour!

Thank you to the Parents Association who have organised the plastic bottle return bin as a fundraiser for the school. They have kindly undertaken to empty the bin on a regular basis. We planted daffodil bulbs in pots before the Midterm break. We have a hyacinth bulb on display in our classroom and look forward to watching the roots grow over the coming months.

We had great fun harvesting our potatoes. Our potatoes grew very well in the grow bags. We steamed the potatoes and served them with salt and butter and sprinkled some herbs from the garden. They were delicious.
