Handwashing Hygiene

Now that we are back at school we discussed the importance of washing our hands to keep healthy.

We demonstrated an experiment which reminded us of the importance of using soap and water. Soap makes “germs” scatter. We sprinkled black pepper onto water in a bowl. This represented germs on our skin. A pupil covered one finger with dish soap and stuck their finger into the water. The germs scattered from the soap.

This is a fun experiment which can be completed at home also.
