Ninth Green Flag

On Thursday the Senior Room had a visit from Áine who is working with us on attaining our Ninth Green Flag. Global Citizenship Travel is the ninth theme of the Green-Schools programme. The ultimate aim of the theme is to continue work on encouraging walking, cycling, scooting, using public transport or carpooling to school. This theme will help us discover how our work on the Green-Schools programme is having a positive effect on global issues including air quality and sustainable development. We had great fun using the speed gun and Áine helped us shape a plan for the work we need to undertake in order to achieve the award.
